Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

I just came across these photos on cosplay.com today. I really like them and think they are very inspiring and are excellent examples of cosplay photography. I really like the lighting and the angles. Photos taken by a Russian cosplay photographer, other work can be seen here.

Some of them want to use you Some of them want to get used by you

I really like these photos from amazing cosplayer Koyuki who I met on cure and look up to. I especially love this photo, it is like a goth, psycho doll version of Miku Hatsune. I love the photography as well. I love the shadow. It is like Miku meets Marilyn Manson.

A few more.

The claw is a nice touch and is original. Most cosplay photos of Miku display her as cute, moe, maybe firtaous so it is is nice to see a cosplayer give her a different twist. This is a cosplay style I really like, cosplaying as a cute girl yet give her a dark, twisted, goth look. I am very inspired by these photos and would love to get a photo similar to the first one.

That is talent.

While browsing through the Nomcon facebook gallery I really can't believe how amazing cosplay has gotten here in Ireland. I remember in the past, only some cosplayed and they did a good job but over the years Irish cosplay has really taken off. I mean just look at these pics here, here and here and you will really see what I mean. That is craftmanship for you. I would really like to know who is the person behind this armour. Very impressive cosplays. Even while looking at the cosplays from Q-con, the cosplays were amazing.

With Eirtakon being only three weeks away and hearing how people are getting on with their cosplays I have a feeling we will be blown away. The cosplays are really going to be amazing. It is going to be really hard for me as a judge for the masquerade to pick the winner of course it always is. ;-p

Even while browsing modelmayhem the pictures are so magical and I get so many inspirations. They really are very talented people out there.

Keep up the good work boys and girls. :-) I am really looking forward to Eirtakon.

I really like this.

She kind reminds me of Sinead O'Connor if she went down the morbid, Goth route.

You don't always have to be amazing to impress me.

While browsing on the internet one day I come across these animated Moby videos and I forgotten how amazing he is. A good few years ago I was a big fan of his album Play, it was one of my favourite albums. My dad always listened to his stuff and that was how I got into him. I remember seeing his animated videos on TV and really liked them. As I am a big fan of animation, I really find this video and his animated video Why does my heart feel so bad really appealing and like them very much. I know there are just simple but maybe that is why I like them alot. I also find the animation very fitting for the songs and memorable.

Maybe Moby would have made a good animator..

La jeune fille pleure chat

Tous les garcons et les filles de mon age
se promenne dans la rue
deux par deux

I walk alone....

Side note: This is just an original character cosplay with the title meaning, "The crying cat girl." The lyrics are from a French song. I came across the above lyrics from my sister who wrote them on the back of a mouse pad and thought there were very fitting for these photos. The lyrics mean;

All the girls and all the boys of my age
walk down the street
two by two

The photos were taken and edited by my good friend Kieran. Do check out his blog and his other photos. He really is amazing. I am loving these photos as they look creepy, dark, noir and sad which all really add to the character.

Marys of the sea

Hey I am not in your way
Hey no need to push me again
I know it's your day in the sun
Last time I checked he came to light the lamp for everyone

"Relax love" he said before he left
"Take those hands away from your eyes
From where I stand you're in my sky"
