Busy bee at late..

Today I had a meeting with Rebekah who I met while staffing at ArcadeCon, she will be the web developer of Cosplay Ireland and she was very excited on the whole idea which was great to see. So hope all goes well! So please like Cosplay Ireland and support cosplay! Cosplay Ireland will be a site for cosplay events ect and for cosplayers and the fans.

I have to get the rest of my Angelic Days Rei cosplay tomorrow and get it finished for Nomcon which is next weekend. I was luckly able to find school skirt that fits me. :p I need to cut it shorter as it goes way past the knee.

I will hopefully have a shoot this Sunday which will be a cute anime inspired shoot and the photos will be added to the Candy and Spice collection on my DeviantArt. David Kennedy from Folio will be taling the photos. Also on Monday will be hopfully shooting with Anna who I met at Eirtakon and will be shooting with her friend. That should be a fun day and exciting. I also can't wait for Wednesday's broken cast doll photoshoot with Mechanic Geisha and Kaya Brown. This should be exciting and different. Mr doagh will be taking the photos. I can't wait!

The Big Dublin Zombie Walk

On Saturday, Dublin was invaded ny mass zombies. There was a big Zombie Walk held in the city centre in aid of the Irish Cander Society. It really was a fabulous event. People went way out with their make up and costumes. I got some pictures of cosplayers. I cosplayed as zombiefied Rin Tohsaka.

Loved this kid, was so into it!

Zombie Waldo

I was wearing a high vis because I was staffing at it and taking pictures for Cosplay Ireland.

Want a hug?

It really was great fun, People of all types and ages took part. More pictures can be seen on the Cosplay Ireland FB page and on the Zombie Walk FB Page. It is good that the Zombie Walk is getting lots of coverage.

Call me a stalker but hey..

Her Rei cosplays makes my heart skip a beat...

Listening to: NIN

I submitted a photo to Otaku House

Yeah I jumped on the bandwagon and submitted this photo by James Brophy. It is a very good photo.

I am not really into the whole "vote for me" populatory contests, I submitted my photo and James because it deserves to be out there as James worked hard giving the photo that effect.

So wish us look by clicking on the "like" button, thanks! Linky.

Also forgot to say I joined Twitter for business use and for networking. Follow me if you want on my cosplay, modelling shenigans amd convention excitment.

Peitie girl in the woods

I done a shoot with Brendan on Wednesday. The weather was too hot but it was fun.

Listening to: something good.

I have been busy

Well the weekend after AracadeCon more anime and cosplay events happened in Dublin so I brought my camera and took pictures for Cosplay Ireland.

Forbidden Planet a big nerd store for comics and manga, they had a cosplay event and gave a prize to the best cosplayer.

Luffy won the anime competition.

This is a very cute Digimon cosplay and she won the competition, fair play to her for making it herself.

Afterwards Micheal who I met on FB organised an anime screening night in the Exchange Temple Bar so I headed down with a few afterwards. I really enjoyed the night, there were a good few people there. They showed one episode of Genshiken then Cat Soup which was very odd, as much as I like surreal it really wasn't my cup of tea, then finally we watched Akira. This was the first time I watched Akira fully as I always seen bits of it years ago on the Sci-Fi channel.

I liked Akira the art and the story was very interesting but it really dragged out towards the middle and the ending was just like that's it but I wouldn't say Akira was terrible, I do really apprecaite it and can see why it is a classic. I really want to read the manga. I am somewhat inspired to do a photoshoot in a Tokyo-3 like setting, maybe will do sometime in the future. I haven't seen many Akira cosplay despite it being a popular movie.

I really enjoyed myself and chatted to a few people and spoke to Micheal afterwards. He really wants to do more anime and screening events so hopefully we will see more. I offered my support and help as I am active in the cosplay and love seeing more activity in the anime, manga community.

Its time for updates

I had such a fantastic time staffing at ArcadeCon. The crowd were awseome to hang out with. Got to see Declan the Co-Con director wear a pretty dress. :P

So getting ready for a hard days work in my Rin Tohsaka cosplay.

The empty hall and the very start.

Awh Gundam!!

Doing that Rin pose.

With Lorriane.

With Tina

Kayleigh the Con Director and Cosplay, anime director. Very cute. :)

A happy trader.

This is Joe Prime who is a professional and qualified craftsman and prop maker. Not sure if he will be attending Nomcon but he will be at Eirtakon selling his props and will be doing a workshop. It is reasons like this that made me set up Cosplay Ireland as they are expereinced people like Joe at there where a cosplayer can find that person and benefit from it.

I got my nails done. Suit Rin abit.

With Sonia Leong and Doc who are professional manga artists from the UK and work for Sweatshop Studios. I met Sonia way back in 2006 at my very first anime convention TomoDaichi. She was dressed in lolita and I was only getting into lolita at the time. It was nice that she remembered me at ArcadeCon. Doc her colleague was really nice too, he is actually a professional games designer and sponsers cosplay events in the UK, made good contacts. :)

And the cosplay skits we all love the skits!

Myaself and Fiona with Vicky and Farrah. Vicky is a professional and qualified fashion designer who just graduated from college and has her own lable Velou Rose and Farrah has her own label named Valentine For Sale. They both make stunning stuff.

Fiona the happy girl beside me is my cosplay assistant at Eirtakon and at Cosplay events. I would much rather call her another cosplay coordinator as she works hard and derserves it. She is willing to help wtih Cosplay Ireland and record the cosplay events on camera as she is a qualified cameraman.

Myself with the Dreamwear girls. I have known Mimi, Fiona and Tina for years as they always came to Eirtakon since 2006. They have their own label Dreamwear and make gorgeous dresses, I am delighted that they will be part of my project Cosplay Ireland. Their stall in the picture below. I really wanted to buy one of their dresses but was so broke. :(

har har..

The ArcadeCon gang working hard at the closing ceremony.

Lots of people.

Where's Wholly?

The best part Declan wearing a pretty dress for the charity auction.

Link auctioning off Joe Prime's made sword and shield.

It really was a fun weekend, meeting lots og nice people and meeting traders and contacts who woant to be part of Cosplay Ireland. I liked my Rin cosplay but I think I really need the black hair so I am going to order a Rin wig next and will hopefully have it in time for Nomcon. :)
